Bush camping gives you totally freedom and flexibility to do what you want - start gamedrives as early as possible in the morning, stay at a sighting as long as you want, to get better photos, maybe a hunt. Get out on the afternoon game drive, when you want. Quite often I am alone at a sighting, which have given me a lot of special moments and fantastic photos. I always go on safari alone or with a few people, which gives us a private experience. We camp at special campsites, with no other people around, and enjoy the wilderness feeling, sitting around the campfire, listening to the sounds of Africa.
Mobile camping isn’t for everyone, but those of us who enjoy being as close to the wilderness as possible without compromising on creature comforts, these expeditions are definitely ideal. The combination of being so close to nature all the time, the camaraderie of guests and crew, and the fun of living in a tent just cannot be beaten!
